Health and Physical Education

EVERYDAY, students need to change into the following:       

Shorts  or Sweat Pants - T-Shirt or Sweat Shirt - & tennis shoes.
All clothing must comply with the schools Dress Code.

Mondays-Wednesday-Friday's

  • 6th Grade 20 laps
  • 7th Grade 25 laps
  • 8th Grade 30 laps
*Laps will increase by 5 laps every three weeks - (25, 30, 35) then last 3 weeks - (30, 35, & 40)
 

Tuesdays & Thursdays 

  • Jump Rope 5 minutes
  • 10 push ups
  • 20 Crunches
  • Standing Long Jump
  • Triple Jump
  • One leg bounding each leg 
(Every 3 weeks:  Jump Rope will increase by one minute, double -  push ups &  crunches, 
Standing Long jump-Triple Jump- & one leg bounding will increase by 1 to 2 x's each to 3 x's each)
 

Testing

Testing takes place at the begining and end of the 9 week grading period.

  • 800 meter run
  • Jump rope for 5 minutes
  • Push ups
  • Crunches
  • Standing Long Jump
 

Games & Activities

  • Flag / Frisbee Football
  • Soccer, Kick Ball
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Mat Ball 
  • Weight Room Jr. High & High School (Basic Introduction to Schools Weight Training Program) 
  • Softball
  • Track & Field
  • Parachute
  • Tennis Baseball

Student Learning Objectives 1 & 2

  • 800 meter Run & Jump Rope.  
  • Testing & Recorded at the beginning and end of the 9 weeks.
 

Sole Project

  • Self Organized Learning Environments (SOLE)
  • Groups of 4 - 5 students
  • Groups will be given a big question to solve.
  • It's Aligned with Common Core.
  • Groups will put together a google slides and share with me for completion of assignment.
